🐾 My Story 🐾

From a young age, I was surrounded by the magic of reading and storytelling. My journey started with my grandmother guiding me to Sunday School and church, where the Bible stories captured my imagination and came alive before my eyes. Along the way, my first-grade teacher and elementary librarian nurtured my love for learning and gently encouraged me to consider a future in teaching.

After completing sixteen years of teaching, God graciously led me to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a librarian—a place of welcome, wonder, and imagination, where countless stories quietly wait to be discovered on every shelf. In this role, I had the joy of nurturing children’s imaginations, watching them bloom one story at a time. Though I’m no gardener—unable even to care for artificial flowers—I’ve cultivated a special kind of garden, sowing seeds of curiosity and delight. I witnessed these seeds grow in the laughter of children, the gentle rustling of pages, and the excited whispers when a young reader discovered  a new favorite book.

My deepest hope is to create children’s stories that plant God’s Word in children's hearts, helping them grow in the knowledge of His boundless love.

I find great joy in immersing myself in God’s Word. In everything I do, my desire is to live in a way that honors Him and to share the hope of the Gospel with everyone He brings into my life.

When I am not weaving words, you may find me chasing horizons on an adventurous road trip or nestled quietly with a cherished book in hand. I delight in baking sweet treasures, savoring the cool embrace of an iced chai tea shared over Bible study with dear friends, and treasuring the little moments of life spent with my husband, our three sons and daughters-in-loves, and precious granddaughter. Since retiring and moving to Orlando, Florida, Fudgie—our faithful family dog—and I keep a watchful eye for “gators,” adding a touch of wild wonder to our days. The tender friendship between Fudgie and our youngest son, blossoming through childhood, kindled the spark of imagination that led me to my calling: writing stories for children. As this dream unfolds, my heart sings in partnership with my husband, whose artistry breathes soul and light into every page, bringing our shared vision to life with love and grace.
